The long-awaited revelation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) regarding our opponents for the first round of the preliminary rounds of the CAF Confederations Cup might be over as soon as possible.

This follows communication from CAF which designating Friday 13th August as the day when draws for both the Champions League and Confederations Cup preliminary rounds will be held.

This will be done at the CAF offices in Cairo, Egypt and already, the URA FC faithfuls are basking with excitement.

Earlier this week, CAF had given an ultimatum of Tuesday 10th August 2021 for all its member associations to have provided their respective club representatives.

This deadline was ably beaten by FUFA, confirming the Tax Collectors as representatives of the country in the CAF Confederations Cup for the forthcoming season.

The preliminary first-round fixtures, once confirmed, are slated to commence on 10th September with the group stages scheduled for February 2022.

The club has done tremendous work in the preparations for the competition with a lot still ongoing in the background. We are excited and ready for the challenge.

Lets meet tomorrow…
