Kakyeeka Stadium in Mbarara City will this Friday 9/4/2021play host to the return leg between Mbarara City FC and the tax collectors in the Stanbic Uganda Cup round of 32. URA FC will approach this game with a feeling of unsettled scores.

The two sides played out an interesting despite a goalless draw at the Arena of Visions in Ndejje on Tuesday in a game where the URA FC gaffer attributed to luck or “the lack of it” in this side’s inadequacies.

That withholding, the two sides have now met only seven times since the inception of the Ankole Lions to the top-flight league. In the seven games, none of the teams has ever won a game against the other.

In the same context, there have been two meetings between the sides this season, both at Ndejje University (0-0) and at the beginning of the season at kakyeeka (1-1).

URA FC will be looking to break the jinx and finally register their first win against the Ankole Lions in a competitive game. It will however come in handy and require a much-improved performance than Tuesday.

Mbarara City themselves celebrated the draw the moment the referee blew his final whistle. What’s clear is the result worked for them but with the away goals rule under operation in this fixture, this would come to hurt them.

The preparations from the technical team on the other hand have been good and the boys seem ready to take on the task.
This and much more were highlighted by Sam while talking to our media team.
“We were disappointed by the result at home but the good news is that we have another game to correct our mistakes. We shall also need some luck as well which I thought we lacked at home his week.”

NOTE: The away goal’s rule will be fully operational in this fixture.
