Najib Fesali has signed a new contract at URA Football Club that will see him at the club until at least 2024.
The defender joined the club in 2019 from Kyaggwe on a three-year deal. He later was loaned out to Gaddafi FC in the 2020/21 season to get more playing time under his belt.
In the 2021/22 season, Najib made his return to the club and made his mark immediately starting for URA FC in the CAF Confederations match against Ethiopian Coffee SC in both legs including also against Egypts Al Masry SC.
In the 2021/22 season, Najib Fesali started fourteen league games out of the seventeen he was involved in and was voted man of the match twice.
He also received only one yellow card the entire season and had one goal to his name.
Najib Fesali said:
“I joined the team in 2019 and as a new player, it was easy to get into the starting XI. It took me like a month to blend in with my teammates at the time.”
“I left the club to join Gaddafi on loan which was in the Big League by then and I must say it helped me a lot. I got some good playing time at Gaddafi and later came back to URA FC where I started games in CAF.”
“I am happy to extend my stay with the club because I know we have a lot more to achieve as a group and I believe in the direction the club is taking.”
“There is a lot of competition at the club but I believe this helps me as a footballer to grow in all aspects of the game. Everyone needs competition to bring the best out of them and I am ready. I cant wait for the new season to kick off.”
