ESSENTIAL GUIDE TO BRIGHT STARS V URA

URA FC will be looking to bounce back to winning ways this season when we make the trip to Bright Stars FC at Betway Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League on Tuesday evening.

The tax collectors’ second loss of the season came on Friday, September 13, 2019, losing 2-1 against Tooro United FC, but we can make it the first away win this season with victory in Wankulukuku.

After last season’s  Mandela National Stadium heartbreak in the 2-1 loss against Bright Stars, URA will relish the prospect of winning and securing progression in the table standings.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the match at Betway Muteesa II Stadium…

HOW CAN I FOLLOW THE GAME?

The game will kick off at 16:30 Hrs on Tuesday and will not be shown live on Sanyuka TV. However, you can follow our coverage of the match on URA FC’s official Twitter account @URAFC_Official and also the facebook page URA Football Club.

WHAT’S THE TEAM NEWS?

Nyakoojo Benjamin could be out for a week with what our team doctor Lubega Joseph described as a “calf injury”. When discussing the fitness of the squad, Lubega went on to reveal that Sserubiri Ivan was in line to feature at Bright Stars before Malaria ruled him out of action. Meanwhile, Kilama Dickens is also ruled out of action with what Lubega described as a “right anterior shoulder dislocation”, while Isiagi Daniel could be in contention to make his debut appearance for URA FC after signing for the tax collectors on 21 September, just a week ago.

HOW ARE BRIGHT STARS GETTING ON?

Bright Stars were beaten 3-2 by Maroons FC in their last outing. Poor away form, including a 3-1 reverse at Busoga United and a 1-1 draw against Express, has allowed URA to leapfrog Bright Stars into eleventh place. Bright Stars have so far played five games this season, drawing two and losing three.

WHAT’S OUR RECORD LIKE AGAINST BRIGHT STARS?

Bright Stars are a familiar opponent: URA have faced Bright Stars 13 times in all competitions. Bright Stars have won 3 of those meetings, with URA FC coming out on top on 5 occasions and drawing five times. URA FC was unlucky not to come with all three points when the sides met in the league at Mandela National Stadium on 10 April, when Nelsen Ssenkatuka scored in the 28th minute in a game they won 1-0.
